Through mutually agreed, theme-based learning, children will cover the core subjects of Maths, English and Science. As the learning is theme based, we are able to work with children at all stages of their learning journey.

 

The approach will be hands on, nurturing, and personalised for every child. Children will have the opportunity to engage in learning as a circle, but also in smaller groups where appropriate. All children have a right to an education, but that doesn’t mean traditional classroom settings are appropriate for all. Children learn differently, and need to be nurtured as individual learners.

 

I believe that we can develop children as a whole, creating resilient individuals, whilst also equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills they need to thrive in their future. As children move through school, the holistic learning approach is often lost. Subjects will be taught in discreet lessons focused on termly themes, mutually chosen by the children.

 

A small group, of no more than 14 children, will gather together to share in the diversity of their thoughts, ideas, opinions, questions and relationships. Where appropriate, we are able to split the group into smaller groups for a more focused and personalised learning experience.
